Local elections will held in the Province of Batangas on May 13, 2019 as part of the 2019 Philippine general election. Voters will select candidates for all local positions: a town mayor, vice mayor and town councilors, as well as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the vice-governor, governor and for the six districts of Batangas.

Background

Incumbent Hermilando Mandanas assumed as Governor of Batangas after winning the 2016 elections. He is running for his fifth non-consecutive term as Governor.

In this elections, majority of the politicians who are running for different posts are under the One Batangas, a local party formed by Senator Ralph Recto and 6th District of Batangas Representative Vilma Santos-Recto, and are members of the Nacionalista Party.[1]

Jhoanna Corona-Villamor assumed as City Mayor following the assassination of former Mayor Antonio Halili on July 2, 2018. Although she may run for her first full three-year term, she is running for provincial board member. His father, former mayor and incumbent Board Member Alfredo Corona is her party's nominee. His opponent is Angeline Halili, daughter of the late Mayor Halili.[2]
