Beata Zbierowska is a third-generation Polish Canadian entrepreneur who currently owns and operates a number of companies, including Narwhal Logistics — a global freight brokerage company that serves Fortune 500 clients. Narwhal Logistics is now starting merger and acquisition activities in the transportation field with a set number of private investors and VC corporations. She also owns and operates Scitsigol Consulting, a firm that helps other logistics companies grow their businesses and take advantage of merger and acquisition opportunities. Beata’s The Global Entrepreneur, a new venture, is a company that helps others start and grow their businesses through a series of online courses, books and other content. Her company Equestrian International shows and sells show jumping horses in North America, while also assisting clients in purchasing horses in Europe. Equestrian International gives Beata an outlet for her love of horses, which have been a passion of hers ever since she could first walk. Beata’s Virtual Bureau also opened its doors just last month with a focus on providing business process outsourcing (BPO) services to the logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding and transportation markets. Beata’s family previously founded BBL Freight Express/BBL Worldwide, which was sold in 2013 to The Wheels Group. Under Beata’s leadership, BBL was named one of Profit Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies, and she was named to WXN Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2011. Prior to founding BBL, Beata first started her career at The Watt Group, a design agency where she helped with Wal-Mart’s expansion into Europe and then Asia. Beata studied at Centennial College in Toronto and Reutlingen University in Germany, and she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Law. In her spare time, Beata enjoys spending time with her daughter, playing tennis, riding horses, traveling and helping other entrepreneurs realize their goals and dreams. References |
