Beldina Nelly Radoudi Nyadwe is a Swedish singer, songwriter, producer, musician and model.[1] Born July 7, 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden, her family roots are in Kenya. Beldina performed in various singing and dancing groups as a child. By 10 years old, she was playing piano and dancing professionally.[2] {{redacted}}[3] CareerMarch 8, 2011 Childish Gambino dropped his first extended play “EP” featuring Beldina on the track “Not Going Back”.[4] In April that same year, Beldina self released her first official single “Here We Go”.[5] She was discovered by American music industry executive Avery Lipman, signed to Repulic Records and moved to Los Angeles shortly after. Throughout 2012, she recorded and produced demo tapes under the direction of Indie-Pop but only released one song “What Can I Say” under the label before they parted ways. [6] March 19, 2014 Beldina released a free mixtape “Opening Act” hosted by DjBooth.com.[7] In August she opened up for Pharrell in Scandinavia on his “GIRL” tour then went back to the states to start recording again.[8] November 20 Beldina released “Ocean” the first single off the EP “Intermission” her first project available on digital streaming services.[9] With her video to “Ocean” Beldina developed a public image as a fierce DIY artist “who doesn't give a damn about what you think” and she incorporated more elements of electronic-pop into her music.[10] It became a major breakthrough in her career getting noticed by all the major labels again.
