Ben Gabriel[1](born 25 February, 1918 - 25 April, 2012) was an Australia actor, director and voice artis[2]who had a successful career in the arts over a 60 year period, with appearances in theatre and radio roles and in film and television. He was born as James Vernon Gabriel in England to Ethel Gabriel who was an actress from Weymouth, who had migrated to Australia as a war bride when Ben was a year old.
