Big Les is an American rapper from Staten Island, New York.[1] First rapping at the age of 6, Les has since released Time 2 Shine (2016) and The King Shall Prosper (2018)[2] which both gained popularity in the underground hip hop scene,[3] and has often been compared to golden age hip hop rappers. Rappers such as Detroit rapper Eminem, New York rapper The Notorious B.I.G., and Fayetteville rapper J. Cole have been cited as a major influences to Les.

Career

In December 2016, Les dropped his first full length album entitled "Time 2 Shine".

After taking a short hiatus, he soon after dropped a song called "Comeback Season" in June 2017 in which he details that it "was super necessary to drop."[4] He felt that the game needed an alert that he was still there and wasn't leaving anytime soon. He had scheduled to release a new album in the season of winter of 2017-18, presumably sometime in December, but did not release it until July 2018.[5] The record that was released was called "The King Shall Prosper" and was well-received with critics praising the lyricism and beat-choices.[6]
