Bitvise Limited is a cybersecurity company specializing in secure remote access software for Windows. Its main products are Bitvise SSH Server and Bitvise SSH Client. Bitvise's products are based on the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol, which provides a secure channel over an unsecured network in a client-server architecture.[1] In addition to the server and client, Bitvise also develops FlowSsh library, an SSH client library for C, C++ and .NET. Bitvise was started by Denis Bider and Wei Dai in 2001[2]. The first released product was Bitvise SSH Server, then named WinSSHD, in 2001, and it was shortly followed by Tunnelier, now Bitvise SSH Client. So far, the company has published 8 major releases of its software. Bitvise markets its products globally to both enterprises and home users.
