Evan Marc Bartholomew (born June 15, 1977), known by his stage name Bluetech, is an American electronic music producer.

Biography

Bluetech was born on June 15, 1977 in San Diego, California, U.S. He was classically trained on the piano[1] and combines this experience with inspiration from a variety of electronic music genres as he creates his music.

Style/genres

Bluetech's style has evolved over the years and as a result his catalog of music spans a variety of electronic music genres. His music includes elements of ambient music,[2] psychedelia,[3] dub,[4] modular,[5] downtempo, and trance.

Performances

Bluetech has toured extensively across North American and Europe, and he regularly performs as music festivals, including: Symbiosis,[6] Wanderlust,[7] Lucidity,[8] and many others.

Music industry innovation

He has been vocal about the ethics of the music industry, addressing topics such as piracy as well as utilizing solar power to fuel his music production studio.[9] Bluetech has also been leading experiments at the intersection of virtual reality and live music experiences in partnership with Andrew 'Android' Jones.[10]
