Olalowo attended Friedrich-Eugens-Gymnasium, Stuttgart and studied Economics at the Free University of Berlin. He has been a member of the Greens since 2004 and is a member of the state and federal working groups on business and finance. From March 2012 to 2016, he was as a follower for the retired Volker Ratzmann member of the House of Representatives of Berlin and was the economic spokesman for the group. Previously, he was a lecturer for non-university research institutions in the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg . Olalowo is the son of a Nigerian father and a German mother.
