Cruver started his career at Enron, as a bankruptcy risk trader. After Enron's collapse, he wrote Anatomy of Greed, the first major non-fiction book to be written about the scandal.[1] Since then, Cruver has dedicated his post-Enron career to starting companies that serve a greater purpose, including Xenex, which produces a robotic disinfecting machine, and AlertMedia, a cloud-based, multi-channel, emergency communication system.[2][3] EducationCruver attended the University of Southern California, where he graduated with a B.A. in Communications. He then went on to earn his M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1999.[4] Anatomy of GreedAfter being laid off from Enron in late 2001, Cruver wrote Anatomy of Greed, a first-person account of the company's collapse.[5] The book was later adapted into a movie which aired on CBS, The Crooked E: The Unshredded Truth about Enron, chronicling Cruver's brief time at Enron before its collapse.[6] In the movie, Cruver is played by Christian Kane.[7] CareerEnronCruver joined Enron in March 2001, where he traded bankruptcy risk. He was at the company for less than a year before it went bankrupt.[8] XenexIn 2009, Cruver founded Xenex, a company that produces robots which are able to disinfect hospital rooms.[9][10] The machine uses bursts of ultra-violet light to destroy organisms that are harmful to hospital patients.[11] AlertMediaIn 2013, Cruver founded AlertMedia, an Austin-based startup which sells mass communication software to businesses.
