I'd put it on top of a piece of paper and write the songs I had below it, just to amuse myself. But somewhere towards the end of the writing process, I started to realize that I needed to offer more of myself in my work. It was the missing element in my previous stuff. I was writing solid songs but they could've been written by anyone; I thought that was a good thing at the time, but looking back it sort of made the material forgettable or generic or something. I went back and re-wrote everything I had for this record, making sure my viewpoint was there, my sense of humor, the idiosyncrasies that populate my life. I figured if it struck me funny or kept my attention, then that might be the thing I was looking for. So when it came time to slap a title on this thing, Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements was a no-brainer for me. It's slightly cynical, slightly optimistic, slightly bombastic, slightly humble, and it's certainly not the title you'd expect. I like that."[1] On November 30, 2018, Dunne released the single "New Tattoo" and an accompanying music video. "New Tattoo" has received airplay on SiriusXM.[8] Personal LifeIn 2017 Brian got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Toni. The couple plans to marry in 2019.[9] DiscographyStudio Albums & EPs2017: Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements 2015: Songs From The Hive 2012: The Brooklyn Bridge EP Live Albums & EPs2018: The Timberhouse Sessions Singles2018: New Tattoo 2017: You Got Me Good 2017: Don't Give Up On Me 2014: Born A Fool References1. ^1 https://www.axs.com/interview-brian-dunne-talks-catharsis-of-songwriting-new-album-and-inf-124118 2. ^ https://www.bandsintown.com/en/a/926283-brian-dunne/past-events?came_from=251&utm_medium=web&utm_source=artist_page 3. ^1 https://www.sunherald.com/entertainment/article174032871.html 4. ^1 2 3 https://www.broadwayworld.com/bwwmusic/article/Brian-Dunne-Hits-the-Road-in-Support-of-New-Album-Bug-Fixes-Performance-Improvements-20170724 5. ^1 2 https://americansongwriter.com/2015/01/daily-discovery-brian-dunne-born-fool/ 6. ^https://theboot.com/brian-dunne-we-dont-talk-about-it-music-video/ 7. ^https://d.facebook.com/SXMCoffeeHouse/photos/a.416436093254.209721.63216423254/10155259436353255/?type=3&__tn__=%2AW-R 8. ^http://www.dogstarradio.com/search_playlist.php?artist=&title=new+tattoo&channel=&month=&date=&shour=&sampm=&stz=&ehour=&eampm= 9. ^https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10214664122541878&set=p.10214664122541878&type=3&theater |
