Broberg Castle (Swedish: Broberg borg), is a ruined castle in central Bohuslän, Sweden. It is assumed that the castle was erected in the late 1100s by King Sverre Sigurdsson, when the area was under Norwegian rule. Broberg has had at least four floors, and has been built of red granite with carved building details in Romanesque style. The tower has an almost square floor plan and an area of over 70 m². Bishop Jens Nilssøn. During his journey in the area in 1594, Bishop in Oslo and Hamar Jens Nilsson visited the castle. He tells in his diary that the castle should have been a seat farm (herresete) and he describes the ruin and the tombs "where they kept their treasures and treasures for pirates and fire".
