| 释义 | Introduction Bukit Batu Lebah Eco-Park (BEP) is located 16 km from the town of Jalan Jasin-Selandar and 27 km from the city of Melaka. BEP is located in Kampung Bukit Senggeh which is a hill dipterocarp forest. The recreational forest is the part of Bukit Senggeh Forest Reserve areas. This area also provide nature based activities for visitor to come such as hiking activities, cave exploration, nocturnal walk, nature abseiling, conservation of the nature and nature interpretation. In the other hand, the ecotourism plan at here also makes local communities participation to promote cultural heritage and the local product in the initiative of community based ecotourism. Therefore, there are several activities that have being provided in Bukit Batu Lebah Eco Park. Bukit Batu Lebah Eco Park have three trail that provide different adventure to the visitor. Each trail have their unique landscape that will make the visitor can enjoy the richness of the nature. Also, in this activities visitor will exposed to the important of nature conservation and effect on it for the future. Cave exploration also one of the main attractions of this place whereby people can have experience on the natural made cave form by granite stone. From cave expeditions and exploration visitor can be interpreted by the nature guide at here on the nature education at this area. Figure 1 : Key Map of Bukit Batu Lebah ACTIVITIES AT BUKIT BATU LEBAH ECOTOURISM Fun, self-realisation, independence, spontaneity, and individuality combined with nature experience are the key characteristics of modern sports or outdoor activities. Most of the outdoor activities satisfy these current demands of society. The main purpose of activities in BEP was established for human development and community around the area. BEP is under permanent forest reserve in Kg. There are several individuals involved in the Small Medium Industry (SMI) that they produce their own products and businesses. For example, a farm business, traditional bakery, chilli processing, fish farm etc. Kelulut’s farm is the only farm in Kampung Bukit Senggeh. Photo 9 : Kuih Bakar traditional FACILITIES AND ACCOMODATION Facilities and accommodation are the important element that should have and need to be provided in tourism place. Care and cleanliness of the facility also play an important role in attracting visitors to come to BEP. Chalet and Dangau There are four chalets and three Dangau that has been provided in BEP. These kinds of accommodation are suitable for group of people to stay here over one night. Therefore, the area for camp site is safe to stay and free from dangerous such as dangerous animals. Nature Education and Interpretation Program Nature education program with the purpose to produce and disseminate nature information and knowledge for people, especially, children and students. Therefore, nature game for hill conservation was created for inspiring people to value nature, having better understanding and good attitudes toward nature and wild places. At the same time, our nature guide also will be the interpreter in order to story about the history area of BEP, the rare animal species in Bukit Batu Lebah etc. Photo 17 : Nature education and interpretation Community Based Eco Tourism (CBET) Program Community-based ecotourism in BEP and area of Kampung Bukit Senggeh is a form of ecotourism that emphasizes the development of local communities and allows for local residents to have substantial control over, and involvement in, its development and management, and a major proportion of the benefits remain within the community. Fortunately, BEP are the best place to build a program that give positive things for people when they involve in it. People outside also can visit BEP on Facebook page or Instagram post before they come into here and feel the nature. Nature abseiling is the only activity available at BEP, Melaka. This activity is carried out within the Bukit Batu Lebah forest area where there is a natural stone that has a height of about 25 metre are being used to carry out such activities. Additionally, special straps will be installed when this abseiling activity gets demand from customers. Hiking is the highest demand in BEP. In addition, these activities also become a main activity that will be joined by the visitor especially on day weekend. Normally, people will try to hiking on trail one which is suitable for the first hikers and less challenging. Therefore, trail one also being a special one because have a three caves which is Gua Reban, Gua Tiga Tingkat and Gua Batu Senyum. Cave exploration is the activity that will be joined by the hikers in trail one. The cave is the natural made cave form by granite stone and shine when twisted by the light. There are three caves that have different adventure and the uniqueness. First cave to passed through name is Gua Reban because the history tell about an old people keep their livestock in this cave. The second cave is Gua Tiga Tingkat. The name was given because the cave has three levels that need to be passed through. The last one is Gua Batu Senyum, the name was given because of stone shaped like are smiling. Blaster gun war is the new activity in BEP. These very enjoyable activities are using a nerf gun with water gel bullet and not dangerous to the user. Birdwatching is the most popular activity in BEP. This is because, there are six species of Hornbill in Bukit Batu Lebah. Six species name is Rhinoceros Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill, White-Crowned Hornbill, Wrinkled Hornbill, Black Hornbill, Great Hornbill. In addition, there are also special trail was being provided for birdwatching activity. Nocturnal walk is the activity that needs to do it on night session. These kinds of activity are aims to find insect that live during night time. Then, the nature guide also will be tell about the species of insect, their nutrition, life cycle, mating process etc. Overalls, this activity are more focus about education activity Therefore, traditional bakery or kuih bakar also the most popular business in Kg. Bukit Senggeh. People who come to BEP will be bring to explore the village to see the making of traditional bakery and feel the original taste of this kuih bakar. Toilet and bathroom is the important things that need to be taking serious in a tourism place like a BEP.
