Byron Langley (born 1 July 1993)[1] is a South African YouTuber, model, actor, and former cricket player. He is best known for his self-titled YouTube channel and playing the role of Simon Brown in the Spud film series[2] and Warren in the Netflix original film The Kissing Booth.[1]

Langley was born in Durban, South Africa.[4] He currently resides in London and lives with Joe Sugg, a close friend and a well-known British YouTuber.[3][4]

Career

YouTube

Langley has had two different YouTube channels since 2013. The first one is named "Langers & Mash" and was co-owned by Langley and his former roommate and friend Thomas Willows.[5] The second and most recent channel is named "Byron Langley".

"Langers & Mash" was named after their names [Langley (Langers) and Thomas (thoMASH)]. In this channel, they made various comedy sketches and vlogs. One of the most notable sketches of the channel is "The World's First Naked Gym", where they took viewers on a tour of a fake gym that allows people to workout in a clothing-free environment.[5] The channel has been inactive since December 2017.

Film/television

In the Spud film series, Langley played the role of Simon Brown.[2] In 2017, he played a small role in The Dating Game Killer.[1] Langley also played the role of Warren in The Kissing Booth.[1]

Modeling

Langley has worked with the modeling agencies Zone Models and Full Circle.[6][7]

Sports

Langley played club cricket from 2012 to 2014. He has played for the Berea Rovers CC in Durban, South Africa[8] and Cornwall CC in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom.[9]

Personal life

Langley was born in Durban, South Africa on 1 July 1993.[1] He went to Glenwood High School.[8]

Since mid-2017, Langley has been living with Joe Sugg in London,[3][4] often collaborating with him and other YouTubers such as Caspar Lee, Oli White, Josh Pieters and others.[10]
