Camp Taloali campground, established for use by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing children for camp, is located in Stayton, Oregon and is administered by a board of directors.[1] [2]. The campground is used for different local events and camping activities during summers and year-round [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Deaf Camps and other Events that use American Sign Language as Communication

Youth Leadership Camp (YLC), run by National Association of the Deaf (NAD), uses Camp Taloali campground every summer.[2]

Camp Taloali also has its own annual summer camp for both Deaf and hearing children; recently, the summer camp ran for two weeks with campers between July 1st and July in 2018 [6] .

Other Activities and Events at the Campground Open to the Public

Camp Taloali has a golf disc course that was cleaned up by volunteers and the course is managed by Steve Moore, one of the board directors for Camp Taloali.[3]

Notable events have occurred at Camp Taloali such as Eclipse 2017 and River Fusion 22.[4]

Community events such as Haunted Forest [1] [5] has been hosted annually by Camp Taloali at the campground. The last Haunted Forest event was on September 29, 2018 [5].
