Born in Pinar del Río, Cuba his rural town greatly influenced his work. In 1991 he immigrated to Mexico, where he stayed for 10 years until leaving to the United States in 2002. He currently lives and works in Miami, FL. Known for his strongly decorated and pigmented paintings, sculptures, and ceramics he features many symbols that are integral to his Cuban roots. In the last few years Luna began exploring different mediums and began working with Magnolia Editions [1] making jacquard tapestries, he has been able to weave his signature style into this expressive medium. Luna has also appeared in numerous solo[2] and group exhibitions in the United States, Cuba, Mexico, and abroad.
