You can find them in virtually every bakery in Guatemala. Champurradas are round and crumbly, sometimes sprinkled with sesame seeds. Champurradas are the perfect pairing for coffee and are best when dunked, but only dunk them in informal settings, as it not proper to do it in more formal settings. Champurradas are enjoyed for breakfast, at the end of meals, or as a light dinner or snack. A definite staple of Guatemalan popular culture and its cuisine. References |
