The services include a cryptocurrency exchange and storage linked to debit cards and related payment services. The company has offices in Singapore and Tallinn, Estonia. HistoryThe company was established in 2016 by Kristjan Kangro, who is an Estonian technology entrepreneur and CEO of change. In 2018, 48th St. Gallen Symposium named Kangro among the 100 Leaders of Tomorrow.[1] In early 2016, Change secured its first angel funding in Singapore from angel investors including a former CEO of DHL, Roger Crook.[2] In 2017, Change successfully raised $17.5MM through a crowdfunding campaign from over 5000 contributors.[3][4] In December 2017, CEO Kristjan Kangro mentioned in an interview with CNBC that "Change is to become one of the world's leading banks".[5] Change moved its headquarters from Asia to Tallinn in the beginning of 2018 and hired 20 employees.[6][7] Change received a license to provide virtual currency wallet and exchange services in the EEA from Estonian authorities in February 2018.[8] In July 2018, Change launched a mobile application for buying and converting between different virtual assets with zero commission fees.
