- We believe it is not only the government’s responsibility but each citizen’s responsibility to contribute in every small way possible.
- Bitiyaa is a Non-Profit Organisation which sells high-quality merchandise to corporates / Business houses/schools/ colleges / Airlines.
- All the profits generated from these Business transactions are passed on towards Educating Girl child in our country.
- We work on a One for One Business Model which means for each product we sell we ensure to benefit one girl child in our country.
- Our giving is in the form of school uniforms/school stationaries/umbrellas/ water filters/hygiene toilets based on our survey findings as to what is the most important necessary for a particular school.
- Our Vision is “Each One Give one”.
- Our Business model is a self-sustainable Business Model in which we generate revenue from the Business that we do, rather than depending on Funds from government organizations or corporate houses.
- With our teams 20years of experience working in the fashion Industry, we bring in new technology to our products. Some of our technology include wrinkle-free / stain free / higher durability / GPS enabled uniforms.
- We have realized that is providing a pair of school uniform/school stationery is not enough as it does not alleviate the root problems of our society.
- As a second step, we are working on the empowerment of women and creating employment to be able to make an impact on social and economic development of our country.
- We have created self-help groups in rural areas in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka & Tamilnadu.
- All these self-help groups have been trained in fashion designing / Patternmaking / Garment stitching
- In fact, all our uniforms are made by these self-help groups.
- This effort goes a long way in empowering women and create employment.
- Gives household sources of income without having to go out of their homes for employment.
- We are a team of 20 people.
- We have created 1000 jobs in the last 4 years.
- Bitiyaa was founded in 2014.
- Major challenges we are facing are
- Finance – to take this into the next level and cover costs of training and logistics.
- Gender – very difficult to concentrate on Only Girls schools and we have to cover Boys as well.
- Major risks we have taken
- We have left our corporate jobs and are currently involved in this philanthropic organization.
- Traveled to interior rural areas to study root causes of school dropouts and how to find solutions.
Adi Rani Tribal Queen- Adi Rani is India’s First Tribal queen Contest and a unique initiative by Adi Foundation supported by Schedule Caste and Schedule Department, Government of Odisha, the State Tourism Department,Adi Foundation, Aryabhatta Trust to promote tribal art, tradition and culture at National as well as International level.
- Adi Rani 2018 was first of its kind mega tribal event, which was organized by Kalinga Utkal where more than 100 tribal girls from different states and tribal community have participated and represented their communities tribal art, dance, tradition and culture at National Level Event held at Bhubaneshwar, Capital of Odisha .
- The event was a huge success and highly appreciated by all tribal community and people across India.
- This unique initiative have boosted the morale of all the participants and their tribal communities and given them their individual identity.
