Chotto Ekta School is a collection of short stories for children by Shankha Ghosh in the Bengali language. He possibly targeted a younger audience inspite of his stories containing profound questions on every scholar's mind.

The short story collection contains 12 stories and the text is accompanied with black and white illustrations. The first story is called “Nijer kaaj nije” (Doing one's own work), dealing with a democratic way of grouping school children and proving them with different duties. The second story is “Ratribelar Class” (Night Class) in which students look forward to a class under the star studded sky. The third story called “Robindronath koto peten” (How much did Rabindranath get) jokes about the system of not giving full marks in some answers. In the fourth story, “Na paharar porrikkha” ( Exam without invigilation), Ghosh makes the students wonder if they could give an exam without cheating when there are no invigilators in the room. In the fifth short story called “Aponkhushir porashona” ( Studying what you want) tells us the reaction of the students and the parents when the former start studying for a new test not included in the academic syllabus. “Porrikkhar bondhur poth” ( The rocky road of exams) deals with the narrator's confusion about not getting marks when he has written a right answer to the wrong question. In “Notun mastermoshai” ( The new Teacher) the students are drawn in by the teaching methods of the new teacher. In the eighth story called “ Somprodayer bhasha” deals with a conflict between two religions. In the ninth story called “Iskuler not” ( School's Play), the narrator engages with the results of a play performed in their school. The tenth story called “ Rosogollar Upojogita” ( The usefulness of Rasgullas) is about how the students used the sweet after there was an excess of it. The next story is “Chandrabindur bybohar” ( The use of Chandrabindu) dealing with the narrator's engagement with chondrobindu and dead writers. The last story called “Ektu Opu ektu Omol” ( A little Apu, A little Amal) deals with the narrator's engagement with literature.
