Christopher Noland is an Internationally recognized American Filmmaker from Seattle, Photographer and Author, who is most known for his work on 3.11 Surviving Japan[1] a documentary film about the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in Japan. Christopher Noland worked in the disaster zone of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami and was inspired by Yoko Ono and Simon Hilton to make the footage into a documentary film. Noland was featured on Yoko Ono's tribute site to peace ImaginePeace.com[2] as a volunteer and would proceed to raise money on Kickstarter to produce the film and eventually release into US Theatres in 2013 with the help of Yoko Ono, Q'orianka Kilcher and Jared Leto. [3][4]. Noland received media attention from; NPR Radio[5] CBC Radio Canada[6] , NBC King5 News Seattle, NHK World News and RT News[7] as well as varies newspapers and blogs. Noland was invited to show the film at Simon Fraser University as part of Canada's Physicians for Global Survival Symposium on the 1st anniversary of the disaster. Noland's film[1] was Indiewire's project of the week in 2012[8]. Noland won Youtube's Nextup Contest Japan in 2011[9] and received a prize of 2 Million Yen for his filmmaking. Noland's film 3.11 Surviving Japan is available commercially worldwide and resides in the Historical Archive of the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival[10]. Noland's photography of the 40th Anniversary of the Space Needle was first featured in the Stranger, a Seattle Magazine in 2002[11]. Noland's book for Uber and Lyft driver's, titled "The 5-Star Driver Guide[12]" was published by Elite Ride Service, Corporation in 2016.
