Chumber) was an Indian social and community activist[1] and a former member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He was a spokesperson of the Kanshi Ram Bachao Sangharsh Committee[2] and a columnist for Ambedkar Times[3], a news portal that highlights issues pertaining to Dalits. He was one of the most prominent voices of the Ravidassia religion, with many scholarly articles citing his views on Dalit emancipation.[4][5] C. L. Chumber breathed his last on 6th February, 2016[1][6][7]at this residence in Jalandhar, Punjab, after suffering from minor illness. He is survived by his wife, and four children.
