is an award winning playwright and author ^[1]. Born in Bowness, Alberta, Canada. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary (BFA), the [https://ent-nts.ca/en National Theatre School], (Playwriting Program) and The National Screen Institute (DramaLab Program).

He has served on the boards of numerous organizations including the Alberta Playwrights Network, the [https://playwrightsguild.ca/ Playwrights Guild of Canada] (President), and the Canadian Creative Writers and Writing Programs (founding President), Access Copyright, and [https://www.mentalhealthcommission.ca/English Canadian Mental Health Commission].

In addition to writing, he is the past Chair of Drama in the [https://arts.ucalgary.ca/schools/creative-performing-arts/ School of Creative and Performing Arts] at the University of Calgary, and presently is a Professor of Drama.
