That was founded in 1956. The school teaches students from years of 7 through 12. HistoryCleveland District State High School was founded in 1956 on the campus of Cleveland Primary School.[1] In the year 1961 due to he number of students the school was taking in they could no longer fit on the grounds of Cleveland Primary School, so they moved to the grounds they're currently on today. The school was then officially opened on 27 April 1963 by Thomas Hiley,[1] the then treasurer for Queensland. CurriculumStudents in grade nine have the ability to choose elective subjects from year 9 onwards. Year 11 and 12 students have a flexible timetable (four day week). Students may undertake University study, TAFE programs. FacilitiesCleveland District State High School has a broad range of facilities on offer to both students and to community groups, some of which include a gymnasium, dance studio, computer laboratories, commercial grade kitchens, a sports hall and ample sports ovals. |
