Conan O'Neill Mc Dermott, born on the 15th of October 2000 resides in the small village of Drum, Co. Monaghan, right on the border to County Cavan. Conan is currently enrolled as a sixth year student in Largy College, Clones, Co. Monaghan where he studies leaving certificate subjects; History Studies, Construction, Biology, English, Mathematics and Spanish. Conan is currently applying to the Institute of Technology Carlow to undertake an Honours Level 8 degree in Applied Social Studies-Professional Social Care. Charitable ActivityConan has been involved in charitable activities since he was fifteen years of age. Conan began volunteering as an assistant camp leader with Clones Family Resource Center in Clones. After that he proceeded to join Youth Work Ireland Cavan Monaghan's - INCLUDE Youth Club in Clones, Co. Monaghan. Scotshouse Youth Services LimitedWhen Conan was seventeen years old he founded and established his very own charity company, Scotshouse Youth Services Ltd. Scotshouse Youth Services was established on the basis of supporting the social, personal and educational development of young people aged ten to sixteen in the locality of Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan. Scotshouse Youth Services holds a drop in every Friday from 6-8 P.M where young people can come and hang out and participate in various activities from;watching movies to dancing to arts and crafts. Conan received statutory funding from Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) and Monaghan County Council to kick-start his youth organisation. Then with the assistance of the Youth Officer of Cavan and Monaghan education and Training Board and the Club Development Officer of Youth Work Ireland Cavan Monaghan, Conan affiliated his youth organisation with Youth Work Ireland Cavan Monaghan and proceeded to adopt the rules, regulations and governance codes of Youth Work Ireland Cavan Monaghan. County Monaghan Young Volunteer of The Year 2018As recognition of all Conan's hard work and charitable and voluntary community activities, he was awarded the prestigious "County Monaghan Young Volunteer of The Year 2018" Award in September 2018 from Monaghan Integrated Development C.L.G and Monaghan Volunteer Center. Philanthropy ActivitiesSince Conan began undertaking his charitable activities he has been continuously performing philanthropist activities such as; Helping, Assisting and Supporting Community groups in counties Monaghan and Cavan.
