Conch Salad is a traditional Carribean style raw seafood salad that is made with the animal that is found inside the Conch shell. Being that Conch's are abundant and immobile, they make for easy pickings. The recipe begins with removing the Conch from its shell and placing it into citrus juice. The acidity of the citrus juice serves the purpose of cooking the conch. Once this part of the salad is prepared, we combine it with raw tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, cucumber and a bit of habanero pepper.
