| 释义 | {{Expand Spanish|Palacio de Congresos}} The Conferences and Exhibitions Palace of Madrid on Paseo de la Castellana[1] of Madrid, Spain, was built in 1970.[2] It is assigned to the Ministry of Government Industry.[3] It is located at 99 Paseo de la Castellana on the block formed by General Perón Avenue, Poeta Joan Maragall Street and Manolete Square.[4] It is near the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and in the financial zone of Azca.[5][6] It has a total area of almost 40,000 sq. m. and is intended for use for a variety of events. It was designed by the architect Pablo Pintado y Riba. It consists of five floors and holds an auditorium of 2,000 seats, a dozen meeting rooms, offices, dressing rooms and a banquet hall.[5] On the façade facing General Perón Avenue is a large mural of tiles created in 1980. The work is the original design of Joan Miró executed by the ceramist Llorens Artigas. |
