Confucius Global Institute (CGI) is an International Non-Profit Organization based in Houston Texas. Founded by JB Graves in 2018, CGI advocates for the empowerment of empathy in human rights around the world. Confucianism is the main motivator for CGI’s modus operandi and includes the Confucius tenets of harmony, humaneness, and morality. By linking the ideals of democracy, namely freedom, human rights, and moral stringency with confucianism, CGI’s main goal is to match eastern and western thought to celebrate similarities as opposed to differences. As a research and policy writing organization, CGI publishes pedantic research on current events. As an advocate for civic engagement, CGI educates young scholars while providing them opportunities to publish their ideas in a professional writing and editing process. Topics of interest include but are not limited to human rights, climate change, gender equality, youth engagement, education, refugees, environmental protection, international relations, and the spread of democratic ideals.
