Overview

Connect (https://connect.cloudblue.com) is a cloud-based Vendor Management Platform developed by Ingram Micro that is only available as a service.

Connect provides a single, centralized management console for service providers (providers) to engage with vendors (suppliers) and automates two primary Supply Chain scenarios:

  • Product (Information) Flow
  • Order (Fulfillment) Flows

Connect supports white-labeling (branding) of its portals, notifications, help and documentation and allows providers to manage portfolio of Vendors and Products in a centralized and self-service manner. It also supports multiple tiers (up to 3) of distribution (resellers).

Historical

Released on June 05, 2017, first version enabled service providers to engage with vendors in an automated way and supported integration with Odin Automation as target Commerce Management system.

Version 12

Released on September 12, 2018, this release introduced a number of new features alongside with other stability and functionality improvements:

1. Suspend and Resume Requests Types added to the Fulfillment Management Module

Support for requests is optionally enabled in the Product Configuration and is off by default

Suspend Request is typically triggered in the event of the payment overdue. Asset cannot be used till Resume is received.

Resume Request is generated when asset is back to the "good state" and all issues that caused the Suspend request are resolved.

2. Action Links Support

It is now possible to define custom actions that will be rendered as buttons in the customer control panel

Both CCPv2 and CCPv1 are supported

Actions trigger redirect to the URL defined by the vendor with JWT token that contains asset information

3. PHP SDK for the Fulfillment Management Module

Set of libraries that simplify integration with the Fulfillment Management Module API

4. Support for hidden parameters

It is now possible to mark certain parameters as hidden to allow conditional information query

Such parameters are only visible in case of the inquiry and error message assigned to them by the Vendor

5. Support for the multiple activation templates

Multiple rich-text (markdown) activation templates can now be created for a given product

It is possible to specify activation template on request approval (both UI and API)

6. Users can now can opt-out from the fulfillment module notification emails in the Profile settings

Controlled by the "Receive notifications on fulfillment requests" setting

7. Ability to use rich-text (markdown) in parameter error messages

It is now possible to set error message value in rich-text

Release on November 22, 2018 and introduced new features and bug fixes.

Released on December 28, 2018, this release introduces new features and bug fixes.

Self-enroll into the distribution contract in the Agreements module

Use marketplace and distribution contract parametrization in the fulfillment management module parametrization

2. Product Listing

Self-service product listing request in the Listing module

Use in-portal chat to be informed of the listing process

3. Renew Request Support

Item renewals are now stored in the Fulfillment Management module queue

Use reports module to export renewal events for offline reconciliation

4. Improved Items Management

Improved experience in the Items Management module

Use globally unique item id for automation in the fulfillment management module
