This article is about the Indian dance Goddess Khushi also know as 'नृत्य देवी' Khushi, an extravagant dancer was born with vast talent. She spent her prime years in the Western region of India. Her peers realised about the immense talent Khushi had. As she grew, she blossomed into a beautiful young lady. It is said that the places where she performed suddenly thrived, filled with joy and life. Attracted by her looks were many men. In an attempt to match her dancing, they got themselves burnt by her serenity and style. Once,Lord Indra(God of rain and storms) was really upset about the men not worshipping him properly and the gods not treating him with superior respect as they should. He made the people on Earth miserable by stopping all showers. He wouldn't even listen to the requests of the gods. Khushi performed on the Ganga basin(dry then) and the downpour arrived.The river became eternal and flows to this day.
