Daniel Kurganov is a Boston-based Russian-American violinist born in Minsk in 1986. BiographyKurganov grew up near Chicago and began his musical studies on the piano. At age 16, he began to play violin, making him one of the latest-starting concert violinists.[1] He completed his studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) under Rudolf Koelman, protégé of Jascha Heifetz, and additionally received private instruction from Ilya Kaler and Desiree Ruhstrat. Kurganov is an alumnus of the Keshet Eilon International Mastercourse. InstrumentsKurganov plays a violin made by Andrew Ryan in 2013 and has also used a violin made by Carlo Tononi. TeacherSince 2013, Kurganov has taught violin privately in Boston, Massachusetts, and has been coaching professional violinists worldwide via video lessons. Kurganov is also the founder of ARCO, a platform for violinists and violin teachers to access and arrange study materials.
