Dani Roche (November 9, 1991) is a Canadian Entrepreneur and public figure best known for being the owner of the design & marketing studio Kastor & Pollux, and the Creative Director of Biannual - a unisex outerwear brand. She is also the co-founder of SCHOOL by K&P - an online educational platform, and a design Professor at Sheridan College.

Education

Dani Roche was born and raised in Toronto. In 2009, she attended the Joint Program in Design at York University and Sheridan College in Toronto, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Design Degree in 2013..^[1]

Dani's work has garnered her international industry recognition. In 2018, Forbes listed her on its global "30 Under 30" List in the Marketing & Advertising category. ^[2]. In 2016, Marketing Magazine listed her on their "30 Under 30" List of Canadian entrepreneurs. ^[3]

Career

Dani Roche got her start by way of fashion blogging in 2008. She maintained an online vintage shop called Plastic Skyline from 2008-2010, before launching Kastor & Pollux with Bianca Venerayan in 2011. Kastor & Pollux was originally an e-commerce store and fashion blog that featured original jewelry and clothing designs^[4], but was parlayed into a service-based brand after Dani Roche acquired full ownership of the business in 2015. ^[5]

Dani Roche is currently the sole proprietor of design and marketing studio Kastor & Pollux. Kastor & Pollux prioritizes the representation of women in media, through empowering and thought-provoking female-centred content.

Past and present clients include Instagram, Lauren Riihimaki, Oxford Properties, Girlboss, and Fujifilm.

Biannual

In 2016, Dani Roche launched Biannual - a cult outerwear brand with a conscience. It has been seen on celebrities like Gigi Hadid^[6]

Fashion Influencer

During Kastor & Pollux's early days, Dani found notoriety for her street style at New York Fashion Week and beyond. She was named by Toronto Life as one of Toronto's most stylish in 2013^[7], and has worked with clients such as Google, Gucci, American Express, and Bumble. ^[8]
