Dan March (born 1973, in Sherborne, Dorset) is an English comedian, actor, [1][2] writer and voiceover artist[3][4] who grew up in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Career

Dan March based himself in London after graduating from Keble College, Oxford University to study drama at The Poor School, London. He received his first acting credit appearing in several episodes of the long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders selling the Queen Vic pub for Peggy Mitchell (played by Barbara Windsor), on BBC One.

In 2004 March was then chosen to play Graham Brown in Casualty (TV series)[5] and Roger Pennant in Down To Earth alongside Shelley Conn and Robert James-Collier.

Following these appearances he went on to play BT Man in Miranda, Oliver in Pramface[6] and as a recurring cast member in the hit CBBC show So Awkward[7].

Aside from acting, March is also a comedian and made his Edinburgh Festival Fringe solo debut in 2008 with his own show My Myspace Baby at The Gilded Balloon, which received favourable reviews[8], followed in 2009 by the sell out show Goldrunner[9][10]

The Real MacGuffins

In 2009 March set up his own comedy group, The Real MacGuffins, along with James Millard and Matt Sheahan. The group performed three shows in 2010, 2011 & 2013 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe[11][12], as well as performing at Brighton Fringe, Bath Comedy Festival and Leicester Comedy Festival. They were selected as So You Think You’re Funny Sketch Act finalists 2013[13] and featured on BBC Radio 4’s Sketchorama[14]. The group’s style revolves around high energy routines, comic wordplay and audience interaction, and garnered mostly positive reviews.

They hosted monthly sketch comedy night Skitsophrenia at The Comedy pub near Leicester Square for 6 years, until 2016[15]

In 2016, The Real MacGuffins were commissioned to write Instructions for American Servicemen[16] for Fol Espoir Theatre Company which toured the UK[17] and subsequently had a run in 2017 at Jermyn Street Theatre, London[18]

He has also appeared in many commercials including those for McDonald’s, ASDA, Weetabix and Direct Line.
