Dave Chenn is a Chinese-American businessman. Since 2017, he has been the founding partner of Oceanpine Capital [1], a professional priviate equity firm based in both California, Hong Kong and China. Between 2005 and 2017, he was the founder and chairman of China Century Group, a conglomerate company headquartered in Beijing, China, with businesses operated in China, South East Asia, and the United States. Previously he had worked in a product management role at Oracle Redwood Shores headquarters for several years. Early lifeDave Chenn was born and raised in China. He earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, China, a master degree in engineering from University of Texas, and an MBA degree from Unviersity of Chicago. PhilanthropyDave Chenn is a University of Chicago Booth Business School council member[2] and a member of Global Advisory Board of Chicago Booth[3], a vice board chairman of Beijing Institute of Technology, and a senior trustee of Beijing Academy of Film, and a vice chairman of China’s Green Fund Committee, a non-profit organization. Dave Chenn has recently contributed $10 million to the University of Chicago [4].
