Engineer Mahaman Laouan Gaya is a Petrochemical Engineer and the current Secretary-General of African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO). He holds an MBA in Business Management (with optional courses on Finance and Accounting) and several certificates of specializations (Energy Planning, Energy Economics & Politics International Petroleum Management). From 2011 to 2013, he was Director-General of Hydrocarbons and then after Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum of Republic of Niger (2010-2011).
