His father is Trinidadian (of West African descent), and his mother is also Trinidadian (of East Indian & Spanish descent). Quamina grew up in Savannah, Georgia[1]. In high school Quamina joined JROTC and when he graduated from Robert W. Groves High School in 2007[3] he enlisted in the Georgia Air National Guard and later the U.S. Air Force Reserve[1]. He graduated Basic Military Training an Honor Graduate[3] serving 6 years as an Aircraft Electrical & Environmental Technician/Air Transportation Specialist[1].
