Only oils and fuels are absorbed and water is expelled in emulsions. BEC is spiked with a naturally occurring biochemical agent, enzymatic, which cuts aliphatic compounds, cyclic and aromatic oily matters into smaller fragments and finally into carbon dioxide and water. The process is called biodegradation and is naturally occuring in nature. Cork used in the process is reject from other cork manufacturing and the biochemical agent is of non-GMO origin.
