Dr.Chandril Chugh is an Interventional Neurologist who specializes in minimally invasive brain and spine procedures. He currently heads the department of interventional neurology at MAX Saket hospital, New Delhi.[1] He is one of the few neurology trained specialists who are trained to perform brain and spine procedure without the need for open surgery.

Early life and family

Dr.Chugh was born to late Mr. Naresh.K.Chugh and Dr. Sneh Prabha on 20th January 1983, Delhi. He completed his schooling from Apeejay School, Noida and Ahlcon Public School in Delhi. He completed his MBBS training and graduated as a gold medalist from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi.[2]

Education and Specializations

Dr.Chugh, after graduating from University College of Medical Sciences moved to the USA for higher studies. He completed his training in Preliminary medicine from SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, New York. He then moved to Loyola University Medical Center where he completed neurology training. He did super-specialization in Neurocritical Care from University of Pennsylvania which is an Ivy League center. After completing his training in neurocritical care he joined in Texas Stroke Institute in Texas[3], where he completed a two year fellowship in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology and also got certified in the field of Neurosonology.

During his training Dr. Chugh earned many accolades and published numerous papers in international and national peer reviewed journals.[4]

Professional Life

After spending 10 years in the US,[7] Dr.Chugh decided to move back to India to serve his countrymen. He is currently working as the head of Interventional Neurology at MAX Saket hospital.[8] He specializes in the treatment of brain and spine disorders with minimally invasive procedures.

Dr.Chugh has worked to increase stroke awareness and has lectured at multiple prestigious platforms as well as in conferences. His work has been cited on various public forums as well as newspapers.[9][10][11][12][13]
