Drew Olanoff is a technology communications professional and former journalist..[1] Olanoff primarily covered Google[2] and Twitter[3], with focuses on how technology impacted people's day-to-day lives. He is now the VP of communications for Scaleworks, a venture equity firm based in San Antonio. Previously, he was a member of Yahoo's corporate communications team during Marissa Mayer's tenure. When diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2009, he launched BlameDrewsCancer[4] to raise money and awareness for cancer research. It was Twitter's first social giving initiative driven by a hashtag[5]. For each tweet blaming his cancer using #BlameDrewsCancer, a dollar was given to charity through a variety of sponsors.
