Dumela High School is the only High school in Rural Surbub in Julesburg, Tzaneen. it was built in 1964 by commuters after realizing the need for a secondary school.

Dumela is located in the the poorest region of Tzaneen, province of Limpopo

Importance { DUMELA HIGH SCHOOL is a high perfoming school in the Shiluvane Education Circuit and has since produced the likes of Tito Mboweni (First black South African Reserve Bank Governor and now The Minister of Finance in South Africa), OJ mushwana (Excutive Mayor of Mopani District), Neil Shikwambana ( Spokesperson of The Limpopo Health department) amongst others}
