The Dunlap Award for Innovation in Astronomical Research Tools is presented in even-numbered years by the Canadian Astronomical Society (CASCA) [1] "to an individual or team for the design, invention, or improvement of instrumentation or software that has enabled significant advances in astronomy" [2]. It is Canada's only national award for astronomical instrumentation.

The award was established by a gift from the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics [3] in 2013 and was first awarded in 2014.

Recipients receive a monetary prize and give an invited address at the annual general meeting of the Canadian Astronomical Society.
