Eagle Valley Station was a 302 MW coal-fired power station owned and operated by Indianapolis Power & Light, a subsidiary of AES. GPS Coordinates: 39.485844, -86.417575 The first 50 MW unit came online in 1951, the second 69 MW and third 69 MW units came online in 1953 and fourth 114 MW unit came online in 1956. In April 2016, Indianapolis Power & Light retired all four coal-burning units at its Eagle Valley Generating Station. The facility was replaced by a new 671 MW combined-cycle gas facility that began commercial operations on April 28, 2018.
