This article is about American musical group Eavesdrop.

Eavesdrop is an Americana-Pop/Folk-Rock trio from Northampton, Massachusetts, United States.

History

The orgin of Eavesdrop starts in 2014 with members Kara Rose Wolf, Kerrie T. Bowden, and Laura Marie Picchi. Initially an idea sparked between Wolf and Picchi as a hobby alongside their other musical outfits, the trio became a reality once Bowden was invited to join in on the fun. After only a few sessions together the group quickly realized their musical chemistry and decided to start playing publicly as a cover band throughout the Pioneer Valley under the name Eavesdrop.

Progress elevated in 2016 when the group began writing their own original material.

Eavesdrop released their debut EP, The Afterglow, on April 8th, 2016; a collection of four songs, which showcased the trio’s vocally charged acoustic, folk, soul roots. While steadily gaining steam and momentum the trio began performing throughout New England and eventually touring the U.S.

A year later, the band's debut full-length album, Tides, was released on November 3rd, 2017. Co-produced by Ross Bellenoit & Alan Evans of Iron Wax Studios, the record features an augmented sextet ensemble comprised of; Ross Bellenoit on guitar, Marc Seedorf on bass guitar and Sturgis Cunningham on drums and percussion. The album also includes guest appearances by Neal Evans, Dave Eggar, Billy Contreras, Darby Wolf, & Mitch Chakour.

Eavesdrop has performed alongside musical acts including: Aaron Neville, The Sweetback Sisters, Mitch Chakour, The Stray Birds, Della Mae, Will Dailey, and The Brother Brothers. They've been featured in The Valley Advocate, MassLive, 22News WWLP, The Hampshire Gazette, and Live for Live Music and were selected as nominees for "Best in the State of Massachusetts" in the 2018 New England Music Awards.
