Edie Lehmann Boddicker, also known as Edie Lehmann (born 25 September 1957, in Buffalo, New York)[1] is an American singer, actor, music conductor, voice actor, and musical arranger. She consults for film, television, and records and is known for gospel and choir music.[2][3] She was an actor on the television series General Hospital, from 1988 until 1990, as the character Katherine Delafield.[4][5]

About

Edith M. Lehmann was born 25 September 1957, in Buffalo, New York.[1] The child of Hungarian refugees and her father was a Baptist preacher, she started singing at a very young age.[6] When she was 8 years old her family moved from Grand Island, New York to Los Angeles, California in order to study with the head of University of Southern California's piano department, Lillian Steuber.[6] She studied music theory with composer Morten Lauridsen.[7] Lehmann Boddicker graduated in 1979 from University of California (USC) in the Thornton School of Music.[8]

In 2015, Lehmann Boddicker was elected into the Board of Governors of the Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter, known for its Grammy Awards.[8] She is a member of The Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) of Beverly Hills, California,[9] and since 1981 she is a member of the Alliance for Women Film Composers.[10]

Personal life

She married in 1995 to electronic musician, and composer, Michael Boddicker. They have raised four children together in Los Angeles, California.
