BiographyEarly Life & FamilyEdmund Berrigan is an American writer and musician born in Colchester, England. He is the brother of poet and teacher Anselm Berrigan. He is the son of poets Alice Notley and the late Ted Berrigan. He grew up among the New York School Poets, having moved back to the states after his father's year-long teaching stint at the University of Essex.
