It provides care and rehabilitation to abandoned, neglected children with special needs such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairment, mental retardation, autism and other related conditions.[1][2] HistoryThe EGV was founded by American couple Samuel and Elsie Gaches, who donated their 16-hectare summer villa to the government on Feb. 3, 1964, so it could be used as an asylum for the sick, aged and handicapped.[3] See also
