Theia (Em-Haley Walker) is a New Zealand Singer / Songwriter.

After emerging with her break-out smash hit 'Roam'.[1], Theia returned to the spotlight in 2018 with new music from her upcoming second EP, NOT YOUR PRINCESS due for release on April 12, 2019.

Already released singles from the EP - ‘Bye Bye’, ‘Bad Idea’, ‘Candy’ and ‘Not Your Princess’ - have amassed more than 1.2 million streams on Spotify [2] and hundreds of thousands more on other streaming platforms, such as Soundcloud [3] and YouTube [4].

Theia first started turning heads in 2015, gaining the attention of tastemaker blogs such as HillyDilly and Pigeons and Planes [5], with her first song 'Silver Second'.

She followed it up in August 2016, with her break-out hit ‘Roam’, which went on to become one of the biggest songs released by a Kiwi artist that year. 'Roam' entered Spotify’s viral Global chart, as well as viral charts in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. It has since been streamed more than 13 million times.

The song also dominated the airwaves in New Zealand, reaching radio’s coveted ‘Top 5’ in the Airplay Charts and holding #1 spot as the most played Kiwi song for seven consecutive weeks. It also received widespread airplay on Top 40 radio in South East Asia.

In June 2017, Theia released her debut EP, which included ‘Roam’, ‘Champagne Supernova’ and ‘Treat You’. All songs were played on Top 40 radio in New Zealand, with ‘Roam’ and ‘Treat You’ also receiving Top 40 airplay in Asia.

The EP debuted at #15 in New Zealand’s Official Top 40, and at #3 in the NZ Album Chart. It also charted in the NZ iTunes Top 10. Internationally, it peaked at #7 in the Malaysian iTunes chart, #3 in the Malaysian pop chart. In Indonesia it peaked at #53 in the iTunes chart and #28 in the pop chart. It saw Theia announced as a finalist at the 2017 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards – nominated for ‘Single Of The Year’ (‘Roam’), ‘Pop Artist Of The Year’ and ‘People’s Choice’[6]. She was also one of five acts to perform at the awards [7] – televised and streamed live to hundreds of thousands across New Zealand.

She was also nominated as ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ at the 2017 Georgies (George FM Awards) [8].

Theia’s live show has continued to go from strength-to-strength, with appearances at some of New Zealand’s biggest festivals, including R&V [9], Bay Dreams [10], Homegrown [11] and Soundsplash [12].
