Emily TanimuraEmily Tanimura is a Swedish mathematician and novelist. Life and CareerEmily Tanimura was born in 1979 to a Swedish mother and Japanese American father. She has been living in France since 2001 [1] . She holds a PhD in applied Mathematics that she received from School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) in 2008 for her dissertation titled Structure and Dynamics of Complex Networks [2]. Since 2009, she has been serving as a lecturer at Pantheon-Sorbonne University where her academic focuses have been on subjects such as Game Theory, economics and behavioural science [3]. Apart from her contributions in academics, Emily Tanimura is also a published novelist and won the 2007 Prix Montalembort - Prix du Premier roman de femme award for her novel La tentation de l'après which received positive critical reception [4].
