FairWarning (www.fairwarning.org) is a nonprofit investigative news organization founded in 2009.

FairWarning focuses on public health, workplace, consumer and environmental issues, and related topics of government and business accountability. It publishes on its website, and in print, online and broadcast editions of news organizations across the U.S, with stories appearing in more than 150 media outlets.

FairWarning is based in Southern California. Its founder and editorial director is Myron Levin, previously a Los Angeles Times staff writer for more than 20 years and member of the paper’s California investigations desk. FairWarning's board of directors includes Michael Connelly, the best-selling crime novelist; Bill Marimow, former editor and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner at The Philadelphia Inquirer; David Vladeck, Georgetown University law professor and former director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection; and Margaret Engel, executive director of the Alicia Patterson Foundation.

FairWarning’s financial support comes from more than 30 foundations and from hundreds of individual donors.
