释义 | It is a Market place under sonauli town area, maharajganj, uttar pradesh. Nearest railway station is nautanwa, 7 km south-east and airport is bhairahwa, nepal, 4 km north. The speciality of the market is that it is the last market on indian land at indo-nepal border where you can witness the healthy bilateral trade between Indian and Nepalese locals. The market is organised twice a week i.e. Wednesday and Saturday. Traders come to trade their merchandise from far towns and villages even from gorakhpur district which is around 90 km farther. Not only indian traders participate but the beauty also lies in more or less nepalese readers' participation. This market place is owned by tripathi clan of MADHAV RAM NAGAR (formerly known as farendi tiwari village). The trade is under the supervision of SSB(shashastra seema bal) to check the smuggling and other illegal activities. |
