The Federation of Tax Administrators (FTA) is a nonprofit association of state tax administrators. Its purpose is to assist with communication between and coordination among various state tax agencies. The FTA monitors changes to state and federal tax law, conducts research, and serves as an aggregator for tax information. It publishes a weekly newsletters, maintains the website www.taxadmin.org, and issues bulletins when changes occur that might affect state taxes.
